Rescue Systems – Descenders
Working in compliance with 2005 Working at Height regulations it is the employers responsibility to provide a rescue system when working at height within fall arrest situations, but also for those employers who are working above ground level, i.e. working at height to evacuate to a safe place.
Descenders or evacuation devices are now more commonly employed to allow those people working at height to evacuate to a safe place.
A good example of these in use are on Tower Cranes when the driver has to evacuate, they attach the evacuation device or descender to the crane and using the in-built pulley / brake system attach to their harness and then lower themselves to the safe place.
Some of the manufacturers we work with in these products include; Sala Rescue Equipment, Protecta Rescue Equipment, Rollgliss Rescue & Evacuation Equipment, Ridgegear Rescue Equipment and Ikar Rescue Equipment..
If you have any queries regarding Descenders or Evacuation Devices then please do not hesitate to contact the TRI sales team to discuss in more detail.
