Fall Arrest Blocks with built in Descent
Sometimes when working at height and looking at a rescue plan, the simplest solution is to descend a fallen worker immediately to the floor. The best way for this to work is to use a Fall Arrest Block or Inertia Reel Block with a built in descent function. These are also ideal for lone working in fall arrest as well.
There are two version of these fall arrest blocks, one with automatic descent that immediately a worker falls descends the worker to the next solid platform below and a unit which allows the workers to select automatic descent or fall option whereby the user is `caught’ by the fall arrest block and then the co-worker selects when to switch to descend option and lower the worker to the floor. The best and most unique version of this is the Sala Ultralok RSQ and the newer Sala Sealed RSQ Fall Arrest Block.
